TRAVELING TO THE CRADLE OF HUMANITY

The tenth-EKOPOLIS fest- International Review of Environmental and Archaeological Film was completed in Nis Cultural Centre. This unique film event, organized by the Serbian Environmental Network Media-EKOpolis, under the auspices of Palilula in Nis, was marked by the celebration of 1700.godina the Edict of Milan and the city's celebration of  Saint Car  Constantine and Jelena-Palilula Night 2013th. According to Boban Džunić, President of Municipality of  Palilula, a program of documentaries of Prof. Dragana Mitic gave a special touch to this event, and then also works by authors from Germany, Italy, Macedonia, Montenegro.

Viewers were impressed by the movie Christianity, Nis Constantine the Great (Serbia, 37 minutes) from realization of cycle documentaries  and then the realization Verhaag Bertram, Return of the Pharaoh, Tamara Spitzing: Journey to the cradle of humanity, author of Germany and movie Neas - audiovisual edition "My Siracusae" directed by Gianluca Agatija from Italy.
Selected films that are shown in the hall of the cultural center are characterized by high scientific quality and attractive approach to cultural heritage. According to Dragan Vidojkovic, artistic director of the Festival, there are mainly reports and educational films presented that represent important advances, outstanding past achievements in different periods of civilization.

Festival EKOPOLIS fest had no competitive character from the beginning, and it was conceived as review of the latest achievements of the documentary film. City of Niš is one of the few cities in the region whose cultural community has the opportunity to become acquainted with the latest films in the field of environment and sustainable development, archeology, tourism and related disciplines.
